The ISYL™ Rules
Wizard permits Administrators to define conditional logic that,
based on the Facts about the call, the caller or the Intent of the
caller, can govern the interaction as it proceeds. A Rule is a
logical set of conditions and consequences forming an “IF-THEN”
statement. The conditions usually describe possible values of Facts.
When all the conditions of a Rule are found to be true (the possible
values match the actual values) the Action(s) defined in the
consequences “Fire” or are executed. Any number of Rules may be
assigned to any Step. |

The ISYL™ Rules Wizard is a component of the
Admin Console and it stores data in the Admin Data Source prior to
publication. The Rules Wizard is used by Administrators to define the
conditions and consequences that govern flow patterns and exceptions to
the defined processes. Rules are often used to identify target groups
for special customer care processes or additional information to be
delivered under special circumstances. Rules can be associated with
individual Steps in a Workflow Script, or can be grouped into RuleSets
and associated with a Script as a whole to be evaluated at every Step |
