The ISYL™ Ontology Editor permits Customer Care Administrators to create, edit, and delete Fact values and Synonyms as words and phrases for Proprietary Domain Knowledge that are implemented into the ISYL™ Care Application. The Ontology Editor screen is shown in the illustration below. It provides native features for associating concepts with contexts and connecting vernacular English (synonyms) with proprietary language. These words and phrases contain hierarchical context information mapping standard English vocabulary to the technical jargon of the Proprietary Domain of the customer care operation. This Editor is directly related to the ISYL™ ability to help CSR and Web self-service Users find the information they need with the Text Entry Area Tool. Proprietary Domain Knowledge in ISYL™ Applications constitutes a set of knowledge concepts or knowledge propositions that enable the ISYL™ Interpreter to process typed input and associate the typed words, whether or not they match required data elements needed for database queries or searches. The Ontology Editor is a component of the Admin Console and it stores data in the Admin Data Source prior to publication.
