ISYL™ Adaptors permit connections to a variety of input
channels and knowledge sources through an
abstraction layer. These adaptors are the extension points
of the ISYL™ Care system. ISYL™ Care is designed to be integrated into
an organization’s existing systems. As such, ISYL™ Engines must be able to call
external data sources and systems using adaptors to read data, and scan
documents to find information. All of these tasks are done through adaptors.

ISYL™ Care involves two types of
adaptors: Channel Adaptors and Knowledge Adaptors. Channel Adaptors
connect ISYL service processes to Phone, Web, E-Mail, Chat, Text
Messaging, Instant Messaging or any other channel through which service
is to be provided. Knowledge Adaptors provide access to databases,
documents and other sources of information that can be combined to
provide the level of service customers expect. Some of these adaptors
are pre-packaged and some are custom-engineered. |
